Jayathi Murthy

Purdue University

Prof. Jayathi Murthy was Manager, R&D at Fluent Inc., a leading developer and vendor of computational fluid dynamics software (CFD) and was responsible for the development of their flagship solver Fluent. She joined Carnegie Mellon University in 1998 before moving to Purdue in 2001, as Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Her research interests include the development of unstructured finite volume methods for computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer. Most recently, she has developed finite volume and multiscale methods for microscale heat transfer and electro-thermal transport with applications to microelectronics. Prof. Murthy is the author of over 100 technical publications.
